General overview
Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) is a non-invasive method using magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain. It is based on the principle of mutual induction described and defined by Michaël Faraday in 1831.

Main objectives of the method

Stimulate cerebral plasticity (especially in adults), to increase the effectiveness of sessions, accelerate the integration of learning

Specificities of the method
The use of a helmet or electrodes that generate a magnetic influx on the skull can enhance the activity of certain neuronal circuits and thus make the brain more plastic.
For patients with motor disorders
Transcranial stimulation, combined with other training or rehabilitation exercises, makes it easier and quicker to acquire and integrate new skills.
Transcranial stimulation then targets the motor cortex (located at the top of the skull).
The child sits in a chair with a headrest. The method is painless. A simple localized magnetic field is applied to the brain to stimulate the neurons.
These are medical devices used in many clinics, especially in the United States.
Who is this method for ?
For neuroatypic children, rTMS is particularly aimed at children with :
